En 2012, la communauté du skate était sous le choc en apprenant que la compagnie éS allait en «sabbatique créative». Par contre, les esprits créatifs chez éS n'ont pas arrêté de créer! Dans une entrevue avec Transworld Skateboarding, Pierre André Senizergues a dit que cette période a été très active. Ils ont dû repenser à l'industrie de la chaussure; «Y a-t-il trop de marques?»

La nouvelle collection comprend trois modèles en trois coloris: rouge, noir et marine. éS met l'emphase sur la communauté et la culture du skate en rendant les souliers disponibles dans seulement 100 boutiques «core» à travers le monde — et exclusivement chez EXO au Canada.

The Return of éS

The skate community was shocked in the fall of 2012 when éS announced it was going on a “creative retreat.” However, unbeknownst to most of us, the creative minds behind the brand didn’t stop creating. “A creative retreat is active, it’s not dead,” said Senizergues, one-on-one with us in his Lake Forest office. “It was a rethink for what’s happening in the market for shoes. During the recession, a lot of shops got hammered, a lot of brands got hammered. Maybe there were too many brands?”

What you’ll have the chance to get your hands on are three new éS styles coming in three colorways — red, black, and navy. Emphasizing the community and culture of skateboarding, the shoes will only be available in 100 core shops globally — and exclusively at EXO in Canada.
