VISION : THE OG IS BACK
Bon, comment commencer... il y a de cela cinq ans de cela jamais j'aurais pu croire que les ''cruisers'' serait le truc branché en 2010. Je l'ai pas vu venir celle-là.
Cette nouvelle tendance nous a incité à ramener Vision Skateboards sur les planches du EXO... Après des années d'absences, les truands sont de retour avec des design Old-school comme on les aime. La OG Vision ou encore la Gator( ca vous dit quelque chose les enfants?) sont en inventaire au moment ou vous lisez ce blog et plus vous en demander... plus il y en aura!
Parlant OG, il y a de cela vingt ans quan EXO voulu vendre les planches Vision pour la première fois il y a de cela 20 ans! Une certaine boutique non loin d'ici dont nous tairons le nom appela Vision pour leur dire que nous avions aussi des trucs pour fumeurs (pipes, papier, bong) et une section musique. Comme si le mélange de toutes ces choses était illogique!
Vision nous appela pour nous dire qu'il ne voulait pas s'associer a une boutique qui tient des produits nuisant à l'image de leur compagnie. ''De kossé!?!?! Jay y a été de simple logique ici et lui demanda: Est-ce que les skaters sur ton team fument? La réponse fut : OUI. Deuxième question: Est-ce que les skaters sur le team écoute du rock ou du heavy metal? la réponse fut : OUI bien évidemment !! Alors, est-ce que EXO ne serait pas le spot parfait pour vendre les produits Vision? Un autre oui de la part de Vision qui nous permis finallement de promouvoir et vendre leurs produits à votre chère boutique EXO! Et pour ceux qui sont de la vielle école comme moi je suis sur que vous avez entendu un ancien employé de chez EXO raconter cette histoire ou encore d'autres histoires tout aussi OLD-SCHOOL..
Et croyez-moi, ce ne sont pas les histoires qui manquent!!!
Well what can we say....5 years ago I wouldn't believe it if someone told me that cruiser boards would be among on of the coolest products in skateboarding in 2010. I never saw it coming.
This craze has brought Vision Skateboards back to EXO... after years of absence the OG brand is back with sick old-school graphics. The OG Vision and the classic Gator (hey kids, does this logo look familiar?) are back in store as we speak.. and if the demand is there... there will be more!
Speaking of OG I've got one of the best stories that go way back.. 20 years back...when EXO first wanted to carry Vision Skateboards in the late 80's. Once upon a time, there was this skate shop in Quebec City not to far from EXO that called up vision and told them that at exo.. we sold papers, bongs, pipes, and music related product as if it were a bad thing to mix skateboarding with that rebellious culture we had going here.
Vision call the store to tell us they won't sell to us... because of the image
Shocking isn't it....we were saying "What the Fuck" as well!!
And then Jay comes up with the best explanation ever...he asks the guy at Vision if the skaters on his team smoked grass and pipes and listen to hard rock and heavy metal. The answer was a swift, YES!. Doesn't that make EXO the perfect spot to sell your brand and to promote your skateboarders? Another YES. Was EXO finally allowed to sell Vision, YES.
Kids, that is what you call history in the making...
And all of you out there who are not KIDS... and remember this ERA in skateboarding..
